Sanctions: Boomerang Effect

Russia is the most sanctioned country in the world. There are almost 11,000 sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation (according to the Castellum sanctions tracking database). This is more than Iran, Syria, and North Korea together.

Most of them are personal restrictions affecting individuals. The rest were introduced against companies. But, almost every day, the list of sanctions is growing. Some experts call these measures financial nuclear war.

Restrictions affect not only the state against which they are introduced. They also hit the people in the countries that raised them. For example, after a partial ban on Russian oil and gas supply, prices for gasoline and products in Europe and the United States rose.

How will the world economy be affected, as all countries are connected? How will the sanctions wars end? Watch the RT Documentary film Sanctions: Boomerang Effect.
