In this latest installment for the Metal Shaping for Beginners series Wray hammers the valley where the two panels were tac welded together. Wray then uses the Mig welder on the upper half of the fender and then uses a Tig welder on the bottom half. Wray explains the heat zones using each welder, which method he prefers and why. From here he grinds both welds with 50 grit all the way to 120 to make sure it's smooth to the touch. He brings up any low spots on the panel using a slapper and dolly and finally planishes the weld seam with our English Wheel.
