Now on the Metal Shaping for Beginners series, we are adding details to the panel. We have the area and arrangement set correctly for the panel, now it's time to tip a flange and wire and edge. After marking out where the flange and wired edge will be, Wray takes the panel over to the tipping wheel and tips the edges. From here we see that the edges need a bit of shrinking to take out the peak that has developed, so from here it's over to our shrinker / stretcher. Now that the flange has been shrunk it's time to do a little slapper and dolly work to bring the flanges to 90 degrees. Once completed Wray then takes a 1/8" piece of cold rolled wire and shows how to wire an edge. The end of the video Wray then cuts the fender in half to show how much thickness was lost from wheeling!
