1. The Italian oil company Eni SpA and the Spanish Repsol SA can ship oil from Venezuela to the European countries. The United States issued such a permit, regardless of the sanctions.

The US government hopes to have a double effect by approving shipments: on the one hand, it wants to reduce Europe’s exposure to Russian oil, and on the other hand, it would reduce the volume of Venezuelan oil shipments to China.

The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the "slight but significant steps" taken by the United States by "granting licenses" to oil companies to operate in the South American country, as part of an easing of the economic sanctions imposed by Washington.

2. Brent crude oil futures rose above $ 120 a barrel on Monday, reaching $ 121.95 during the day, Reuters reports. The main reason for the increase is that Saudi Arabia has raised prices.
