The skies in South Dakota turned emerald green during a Derechos thunderstorm event, that marched across 6 states and left 30,000 people without power. The green is created during some derechos because thunderstorms happen later in the day so the blue from the sky and the red from sunsets creates the green sky South Dakota was treated to.
