How are you defined? Straight? Gay? Queer? Bi? Trans? As with this young person, how about CONFUSED?

I may be thought of as "out of touch" but there is one way to find out what you are in my world: check between your crotch for a penis or a vagina.

Penis = male
Vagina = Female

Now, before you jump all over me as being prejudiced against someone who identifies as any of the names I listed in the title, this too is how I feel:

If you believe you are bi, awesome for you. Don't shove it in my face.

If you believe you are trans, awesome for you. Don't shove it in my face.

If you believe you are gay, awesome for you. Don't shove it in my face.

If you believe yourself to be any term you want to identify yourself with, just please enjoy your life, keep your labels private and stop pushing it on the rest of us.

I don't go around saying "I am a straight male" to everyone and anyone I meet.

You may say that's because most of the world identifies as male and female with the normal biological yearnings for someone of the opposite sex - you couldn't possibly understand me!"

Hmmm...I wonder if that's because nature and God intended it to be that way and is it possible that you were created to not fit the norm of that belief and feeling?

That is certainly possible. But it would be so much more palatable if it were not shoved into the rest of the majority as being "special" and you must not discriminate against me even in how you speak to me or act to me.

Sorry, not gonna' buy into that teaching (and that's what it is - indoctrination into a belief that you are to be treated with kid gloves and cannot be criticized for feeling and believing you are what you are).

Just go about living your life as you want and do it in a manner that doesn't push your beliefs on me.

To each their own. Just be private about it and we'll get along fine. I won't shove my "identity on you" and expect the same from you.
