Vandenberg Wreck Key West

The Hoyt S. Vandenberg wreck is BIG. Over 500 feet long and relatively intact, although no effort was spared to remove all toxic and dangerous materials before she was scuttled in 2009 off Key West. (To the tune of $8.6 million.)

Water temperature 85; light current in a southerly direction; visibility around 60 feet. A few curious barracuda.

We got to around 100'. but one can certainly go significantly deeper on this extensive wreck.
