In the attractive and mid-market box were the plastic base unit, 4 3D panels, USB power cable, remote control, and a well written and easy to read user guide. Build quality and packaging are fine and far better than expected for the £14 price. The only bugbear is removing the paper backing from the panels, which annoyed me for some time.

The four plastic Starwars themed panels are the Death Star, Millennium Falcon, R2D2, and BB8. The panels are transparent and colourless with a pattern etched into them that reflects and enhances the LED light and which produces a remarkable 3D style effect in low light. There are 7 base colours and 16 different colour modes which can be selected from the credit card sized remote control or using the touch switch built into the base.

The unit is USB powered and a cable, but no mains adapter, is included. The unit can also be powered by three AA batteries housed in the base unit.

The operation is simple enough. After selecting the USB or battery power source, just place the desired panel into the slot on the top of the base unit, and switch on either from the remote control or with the touch button on top of the base unit. You can either scroll through the available patterns with the base unit button or select them individually with the remote. Take care not to touch the etched panel as any moisture or dirt can reduce the image quality.

For the low price, this is a great buy and if you have a Starwars fan in your life then this would make the perfect gift for them.
