Open Incision Technique for Silicone Injection Removal from the Buttocks and Thighs

Today we have a patient in her early 30's who travels to us from Pennsylvania! About 10 years ago this patient had gotten silicone injected into her buttocks. She initially got 2 sessions of injections, and over time it's caused a great deal of pain and swelling in the patient's buttocks and thighs. The silicone spread from the buttock into the patient's gluteal muscles, so in order to remove as much silicone product as possible, Dr. Katzen performs an open incision technique of the buttocks
