Grand County, Colorado, rural country a hundred miles outside of Denver. Thanksgiving 2020, Lucais Reilly shoots his wife Kristin in the head, then turns the gun on himself, committing suicide. They have alcohol and drugs in their system and a history of domestic troubles. Grand County coroner Brenda Bock explains how the small town tragedy is exposing serious questions about the way Covid deaths are counted. Brenda Bock: I had a homicide-suicide the end of November, and the very next day it showed up on the state website as Covid deaths. And they were gunshot wounds. And I questioned that immediately because I had not even signed off the death certificates yet, and the state was already reporting them as Covid deaths. Bock says somebody, somewhere had apparently run the couple’s names through a database showing they’d tested positive for Covid within 28 days of their death. Then recorded them as Covid deaths even though they died of gunshots. Sharyl: If we look at the death certificates for the murder-suicide case, what will it say about Covid? Bock: Nothing, absolutely nothing. I paid a forensic pathologist to do the autopsies on those two cases. And nowhere is COVID mentioned on those death certificates. Nowhere. Bock: This is a copy of the death certificate, and nowhere does it say COVID. So we have a homicide, suicide, nothing to do with COVID. Because there had been no Covid deaths within the geographic boundaries of Grand County in 2020, Bock was in a unique position to challenge the state’s accounting. In many cities and counties, the numbers are too big and the coroners would never know about discrepancies. Within a week of the murder-suicide, two more Grand County deaths popped up on the state’s Covid count. Bock investigated and found out why she had no record of them. Bock: Two of them were actually still alive, and yet they were counting them. Had I not called them on it and asked them who those were, where were they from, all the information about it and it's like, "Oh, well that was a typo. They just got put in there by accident." Merrit Linke: The coroner did officially talk to us at one of our regular Tuesday County Commission meetings about this discrepancy in how the state was reporting our COVID numbers. Merrit Linke is chair of the Grand County Board of Commissioners. Linke: We drafted and signed a letter, all three Commissioners, and the coroner also signed, and sent it to the governor, saying “Hey, these numbers are not correct. It's not right. We should report these correctly, and please fix this." It wasn’t just happening in Grand County. Dr. James Caruso is chief medical examiner and coroner for Denver. Dr. James Caruso: I was told by some of my fellow coroners in the more rural counties in Colorado that it was happening to them, that they knew of issues where they had signed out a death certificate with perhaps trauma involved. And they were being advised that it was being counted as a Covid-related death. Sharyl: When it comes to counting Coronavirus deaths, tell me what the story was, of what you discovered early on. What was happening? Dr. Caruso: I think early on, the people signing the death certificates probably were doing it accurately. But at some level--maybe the state level, maybe the federal level--there's a possibility that they were cross-referencing Covid tests. And that people who tested positive for Covid were listed as a Covid-related death, regardless of their true cause of death. And I believe that's very erroneous, and not the way the statistics needed to be accumulated. Caruso says he voiced his objections in April 2020 with the Colorado Department of Public Health. Sharyl: How did you raise your concerns? Caruso: I told them very clearly that someone can die “of” COVID or they can die “with” COVID. And the two are very different. Others were also questioning the state’s count. Bock: We had the coroner in Montezuma county. He had a death, an alcohol death, and it was counted as Covid. And he's the one that I guess got the ball rolling and started complaining. As a result of the complaints, the state added subcategories showing number of deaths “Of” Covid and deaths “With Covid.” But months later, with the murder-suicide, there were still questions. Sharyl: "Of Covid" presumably means the death is thought to have been caused directly by Covid. Brenda Bock: Directly. Sharyl: And "with COVID" means? Bock: You had other underlying conditions. Sharyl: Okay. So the murder-suicide should not have been counted under either of those categories? Bock: Right. And that's what I complained about. And then when I did talk to the Governor, he told me he didn't believe it was right, but he wasn't going to have them remove it from the count because all the other states were doing it that way so we were going to also. Colorado Governor Jared Polis declined our interview request. A spokesman said the governor agrees with Grand County coroner Bock and was “outraged” that a murder-suicide is recorded as Covid-related. “In an effort to be abundantly clear,” the governor adds, the state website explains that “some numbers combine deaths that were a direct result of COVID and deaths that occurred when the individual had COVID-19.” During our visit to Colorado, the state’s total Covid-related death tally was 13,845. Separating out the deaths not directly caused by Covid cuts that number by about half with the rest dying “among” or “with” Covid — not because of it. Sharyl (on-camera): The obvious implications are huge. If such a significant number of Colorado's "Covid deaths" weren’t directly caused by Covid, or even related at all in some cases, and if that bears out in other states, it means the national totals we've heard since the start of the pandemic could be largely misleading. Dr. Deborah Birx (April 7, 2020): So I think in this country we've taken a very liberal approach to mortality. The same time Colorado’s coroners were challenging the death count, Dr. Deborah Birx of the White House Coronavirus Task Force was being asked about the same thing. Birx (April 7, 2020): The intent is right now, that if someone dies with COVID-19, we are counting that as a COVID-19 death. Some of the eyebrow-raising examples of deaths attributed to covid include— Fatalities after traffic accidents, three Colorado nursing home deaths, even though the attending physicians said they weren’t related to coronavirus. And a case in Nashville, Tennessee. In August 2020, Hal Short’s wife was stunned to see Covid-19 named as the cause on her husband’s death certificate— after he died of an aggressive cancer. He’d tested negative for coronavirus three times. Only after the family complained, was Covid-19 removed a clerical error blamed. Mrs. Short: “That’s really not good enough, just saying I want, just saying ‘we made a mistake’ and we just forget about it. How many other people are you making this mistake with? Government experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci claim, without evidence, there are likely far more Covid deaths than documented; not fewer. Dr. Anthony Fauci (May 12, 2020): That the number is likely higher, I don’t know exactly what percent higher, but almost certainly it is higher. Adding to the confusion— widely-cited sources, from the New York Times to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Dashboard compile and report different numbers. Johns Hopkins notes that “States are not consistent [and] may even retroactively change the numbers they report.” Short of a national audit, some of the best hard evidence can only be found in small places like Grand County, Colorado where they know precisely who did or didn’t die of what within the county limits. And where Bock says there were no Covid deaths in 2020. Bock: Not as far as I'm concerned. But when we checked in July, the New York Times tally over-reported Grand County's 2020 Covid death toll by least 500%. It was missing one resident who reportedly died of Covid outside of the county. But the Times counted the unrelated heart attack; the two people who were alive - which were removed from the state total; and the murder-suicide of Lucais and Kristin Reilly. Sharyl: What are the implications nationwide when we're looking at numbers then? Bock: I believe they're very inflated. And don't get me wrong. I believe Covid is real. And I believe people do get very sick from it. And I do believe a small number do die from that. I do not believe a homicide-suicide belongs in that number. I don't, because my job is to tell the truth about why a person died, the cause and the manner. And I don't believe that what's going on is the truth. Sharyl (On-camera): Alameda County, California changed their methodology in June to remove deaths that weren’t a direct result of Covid. That removed more than 400 people, or 25%, from their death toll. .................... There’s little dispute about this much -- vaccines save many lives, and rarely, they injure or kill. A special federal vaccine court has paid out billions for injuries from brain damage to death. But not for the form of brain injury we call autism. Now we have remarkable new information: a respected pro-vaccine medical expert used by the federal government to debunk the vaccine-autism link, says vaccines can cause autism after all. He claims he told that to government officials long ago, but they kept it secret. Yates Hazlehurst was born February 11, 2000. Everything was normal, according to his medical records, until he suffered a severe reaction to vaccinations. Rolf Hazlehurst is Yates’ dad. Rolf Hazlehurst: And at first, I didn't believe it. I did not think that, I did not believe that vaccines could cause autism. I didn't believe it. But there's a hard reality for Yates. The trademark brain disease, pain and inability to communicate that’s common with severe autism. In 2007, Yates’ father sued over his son’s injuries in the little known Federal Vaccine court. It was one of more than 5000 vaccine autism claims. Congress created vaccine court in 1988, in consultation with the pharmaceutical industry. In the special court, vaccine makers don’t defend their products -- the federal government does it for them, using lawyers from the Justice Department. Money for victims comes from us, not the pharmaceutical industry, through patient fees added onto every vaccine given. Denise Vowell: Our hearings are all closed to the public. And that’s statutory. In 2007, Yates’ case and nearly all the other vaccine autism claims lost. The decision was based largely on the expert opinion of this man, Dr. Andrew Zimmerman, a world-renowned pediatric neurologist shown here at a lecture. Dr. Zimmerman was the government’s top expert witness and had testified that vaccines didn’t cause autism. The debate was declared over. But now Dr. Zimmerman has provided remarkable new information. He claims that during the vaccine hearings all those years ago, he privately told government lawyers that vaccines can, and did cause autism in some children. That turnabout from the government’s own chief medical expert stood to change everything about the vaccine-autism debate. If the public were to find out. Hazlehurst: And he has come forward and explained how he told the United States government vaccines can cause autism in a certain subset of children and United States government, the Department of Justice suppressed his true opinions. Hazlehurst discovered that later when Dr. Zimmerman evaluated Yates as a teenager. That’s when he partnered with vaccine safety advocate Robert F. Kennedy, Junior -- who has a voice condition. Kennedy: This was one of the most consequential frauds, arguably in human history. Kennedy was instrumental in convincing Dr. Zimmerman to document his remarkable claim of the government covering up his true expert opinion on vaccines and autism. Dr. Zimmerman declined our interview request and referred us to his sworn affidavit. It says: On June 15, 2007, he took aside the Department of Justice -- or DOJ lawyers he worked for defending vaccines in vaccine court. He told them that he’d discovered “exceptions in which vaccinations could cause autism.” “I explained that in a subset of children, vaccine induced fever and immune stimulation did cause regressive brain disease with features of autism spectrum disorder.” Kennedy: This panicked the two DOJ attorneys and they immediately fired Zimmerman. That was on a Friday and over the weekend they called Zimmerman and said his services would no longer be needed. They wanted to silence him. Days after the Department of Justice lawyers fired Dr. Zimmerman as their expert witness, he alleges, they went on to misrepresent his opinion to continue to debunk autism claims. Records show that on June 18, 2007, a DOJ attorney Dr. Zimmerman spoke to told vaccine court, “We know [Dr. Zimmerman’s] views on the issue...There is no scientific basis for a connection” between vaccines and autism. Dr. Zimmerman now calls that “highly misleading.” The former DOJ lawyer didn’t return our calls and emails. Kennedy has filed a fraud complaint with the Justice Department Inspector General, who told us they don’t “comment on investigations or potential investigations.” Meantime, CDC -- which promotes vaccines and monitors vaccine safety -- never disclosed that the government’s own one-time medical expert concluded vaccines can cause autism -- and to this day public health officials deny that’s the case. Dr. Anne Schuchat: “Based on dozens of studies and everything I know as a physician and a scientist, there’s no link between autism and vaccines.” CDC declined our interview request. In addition to filing a fraud complaint, Kennedy has delivered Dr. Zimmerman’s affidavit to leaders on Capitol Hill. But there he claims, is another key part of this story: roadblocks set up by the pharmaceutical industry—or PhRMA. Kennedy: But everybody takes money from PhRMA so they've all been corrupted. And it's almost impossible to get anything done on Capitol Hill. Kennedy, a Democrat, isn’t the only one claiming vaccine industry money rules the day. We spoke to 11 current and former members of Congress and staff who claim they faced pressure, bullying or threats when they raised vaccine safety questions. Several of them agreed to appear on camera. Burton: There's no question in my mind whatsoever that the pharmaceutical industry had a great influence with people over at the CDC and FDA. There's no question in my mind. Republican Dan Burton -- former Chairman of the House Oversight Committee -- has an autistic grandson. Burton: I am not against vaccinations. He pursued vaccine investigations in the early 2000s. Beth Clay was one of his staffers. Clay: There was a lot of pressure from people on the Hill. When you say people on the hill were exerting pressure, what kind of people? Colleagues? Clay: Colleagues, there were pharmaceutical lobbyists. The pharmaceutical lobbyists had, you know, they are the same people that have been entrenched. They can walk into any office in Capitol Hill, and they'll talk to staff, they'll talk to members and they'll encourage them to discourage, our investigation. Sharyl: At the risk of stating the obvious why did they have that kind of access to members? Clay: It's money. And if you look at the donations over the last 20 years, the pharmaceutical industry, and Republican and Democrat, they're nonpartisan. They put money everywhere. Former Congressman, Dr. Dave Weldon, a Republican, says he got the message loud and clear. Sharyl: If you would want to hold a hearing on an issue like vaccines and autism, your own leadership might fight you on that because of the financial influence, the pharmaceutical industry Dave Weldon: They wouldn’t fight you. They’d kill it. It's dead. They don't even want to discuss it. It's dead on arrival. If you, if you as an individual member want to take on the pharmaceutical industries. It's forget it. Sharyl: Can you describe an incident or just how it, how that would go? Weldon: It would typically be in a hallway or the street and people would come up to you and say, “You know, you really need to, you know, back off on this. And a Big Lie that you've been living with for the last four years is, "Oh! But 60 judges looked at these claims about election fraud in 2020 and they found nothing!" Well, that's false on two different levels. At one level, reminds me of, remember the saying of actuaries, is you substitute facts for impressions. The facts are, there were 93 cases – and of the 93 cases, 61 were just thrown out as being "moot" or "not having standing". Nobody looked at any of the merits of the case. Of the 32 that were judged on the merits, 24 of them went the way of Trump or the Republican Party, who had filed it – and that's 75%. So 75% of the cases, where a judge actually looked and studied the merits and didn't just get caught up in lawfare, they did go for Trump or the Republican Party. And of those 24, eight were specifically filed by Trump and of those, four went for him. So it's just not that, which "50%", so it's just not, at all true. Now, the NPCs say, "Well, those cases weren't all about this Grand RICO National Election scheme." Yeah, well, neither were the "60 cases," that they always love to say, "Well, 60 cases were thrown out." They were all also little, bitty county-by-county and state-by-state cases. So, there was only one big case that was about the national RICO thing that went to the Supreme Court – and they threw it out, without looking at it – on "standing". They said the "State didn't have the right to sue"; the State of Texas and 19 other States. So it's just at one level, the claim that, "60 judges looked at this and they found nothing!" is factually incorrect. But at a deeper level, it's a dumb thing to say. And let me tell you why. I'm reminded of, there was this great physicist we all used to read, Richard Feynman. He wrote a famous book called 'Surely, You're Joking, Mr Feynman?' And he was a real unconventional thinker, won the Nobel prize and such but he was one of the probably three or four greatest physicists of the 20th century. He also wrote another book that was a little less well-known called, 'What Do You Care What Other People Think?' And he tells a story, in there about the length of the nose of the Emperor of China. And suppose somebody had a mission and their assignment. They were supposed to find out the length of the nose of the Emperor of China and they went around asking different people their opinions and then took all the different answers and averaged them and multiplied them together and did a logarithm. There are all kinds of fancy complications – it wouldn't matter. It doesn't matter, at all until someone actually goes and measures the length of the nose of the Emperor of China! None of that other stuff about people's opinion matters. And to me, it's always been funny, when people say that to me – I don't mean to sound arrogant – but who do you think knows more about this? I always say, "60 judges, or me?" And it isn't like when you have 60 judges, that you can just add all their individual knowledge and you get some big pile of knowledge. You just have an amount, you know, it doesn't mean anything; that 60 guys in robes – even if it were true. And as I said, it isn't true to begin with! So, you're going to find out, in the months – and maybe, weeks ahead – that we were all correct, from the beginning. We have all the evidence. It's all ready. Everyone from Dominion is going to go to prison. And we were right, all along. And just remember, it's going to, then be a point in our favor, when we want to explain how corrupt is the System, once everything is revealed. And we want to talk to people about how corrupt is the System. We're going to be able to say, "Look at this. 60 judges looked at this and they didn't see anything. Now that you all see how corrupt it really is, now we can show you how corrupt our elections are! Now we can show you how corrupt the DC is! "Because, all of these institutions that you've been quoting and throwing in our face, all these institutions, they looked at all this and they vouched for it! CNN Reveals "Troubling" Poll: American Trust In Vaccines Is Plummeting By Tyler Durden ZeroHedge Friday, Dec 20, 2024 https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/cnn-reveals-shocking-poll-american-trust-vaccines-plummeting American trust in medical institutions and vaccine technology has been plunging the past several years, and though the media treats this as a "troubling" and dangerous development for our society the shift might represent a positive change. The activities of Big Pharma have gone largely unchecked and unchallenged for many decades. The FDA has a revolving door policy, allowing pharmaceutical executives to exit their companies and work at the agency with impunity, then leave again and return to their former jobs. It's not hard to understand how this creates a serious conflict of interest at the FDA. This problem of corruption was never more clear than it was during the covid pandemic. Since that event, the US population has been losing faith in the ability of the government to scrutinize pharmaceutical products and protect people from potentially disastrous experimental medications and vaccines. When the love affair between government and Big Pharma was put on blatant display, the American people rightly began to question everything. Recently, CNN unveiled a poll which proves that US faith in vaccines is in steep decline. The reality is that the vaccines were largely unnecessary. Infections and fatalities were dropping rapidly well before the first vaccines were introduced to the public, likely because of natural immunity. Later spikes only prove that the vaccines had minimal effect on the spread of the virus. At the height of the pandemic frenzy, the average Infection Fatality Rate of the Covid virus was a tiny 0.23%. Meaning, 99.8% of the public was under no threat from the illness. Furthermore those that did become dangerously sick were often elderly people with preexisting conditions. This fact was reinforced by data showing that the vast majority of deaths from covid were among people with at least one comorbidity. If a person died after years of diabetes or cardiovascular disease, but they also had covid, the default of the medical establishment was to list the death as covid related. That is to say, deaths from covid and deaths from preexisting conditions were mixed together without regard for how this might affect public statistics. It should also be noted that the IFR of covid did not change from pre-vaccination conditions to post-vaccination conditions. The death rate was the same regardless of vaccination status, though CDC, WHO and Big Pharma analysis often failed to use unvaccinated people as a control group. This was likely done deliberately to hide the bigger picture from the public. Instead, the establishment would use stats like CFR (Case Fatality Rate) or "Mortality Odds", which discount asymptomatic cases and greatly overestimate the true rate of death. Few establishment media outlets ever mentioned the real Infection Fatality Rate through the entirety of the pandemic. The goal was to pump up the covid death count as high as possible in order to frighten the public into accepting experimental mRNA vaccinations that were rushed into production under FDA emergency approval. The average vaccine is tested for many years (sometimes a decade or more) in order to meet safety standards. Covid vaccines were slapped together and shipped out in less than 12 months. The action was hailed as a "medical miracle", but the truth is that it was a massive gamble at best, and a draconian con at worst. Governments around the world exploited pandemic fears and used unprecedented leverage to force the public into taking the jab. Keep in mind that the Biden Administration almost gained the power to penalize companies employing workers without proof of vaccination (vaccine passports). That is to say, the government under Biden tried to erase constitutional protections and take people's jobs away unless they submitted to regular vaccines. It was an epic authoritarian sprint. They were only thwarted because of the Supreme Court and the courage of conservative red states defying the agenda. The covid event has created a culture of distrust when it comes to vaccine science. Now, the public wants independent investigations and assurances on vaccines to prove safety rather than simply taking the FDA and Big Pharma at their word.
