Ex Indusmin covered hopper has found itself in Havelock again this time leased to IKO, now with enough age and mechanical issues it’s next stop will be the scrap yard on it's 47th birthday.

These types of cylindrical hoppers were a mainstay of Canadian mining and grain freight form the 1970s through the 90s. Hawker Siddeley under their Canada Car Foundry brand produced many of them for the Canadian and Provincial Governments for grain shipping as well as both CN and CP. Havelock saw these for decades serving Indusmin (later Unimin, Covia) Quaker Oats, and finally IKO.

Car was built new in June 1975
