LOGGING TRUCK SLAMS CAR, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 07/06/22...

Car Slammed by Logging Truck, No Injuries, LIVINGSTON, July 6, 2022 - Shortly before 12 noon on July 6, 2022, the driver of a red Hyundai Elantra was north-bound on Business 59 (north end of Livingston next to Z-Mart). The driver was pulled into the left turning lane, then suddenly decided to cut back right, apparently not realizing there was a logging truck coming in that lane. The logging truck impacted the passenger's side of the Hyundai, knocking it back into it's turning lane where it came to rest. The driver of the logging truck pulled to the right shoulder of Business 59. Officers with Livingston Police Department were dispatched to the scene and were assisted by Trooper Nick Hatton with the Texas Highway Patrol. There were no injuries in the accident. The driver of the Hyundai was cited for causing the accident. The car was recovered by Ken's Towing and will be stored at Harrison Body Shop in Livingston.
