The explosive first step dribbling basketball workout. The workout focuses on upper body strength, working the ball out of the backcourt, and finishing with spectacular moves.

The player dribbles the ball over the baseline and the defense tries to defend him by ceding the lane. He passes the ball to his teammates, who pop out for 3-pointer after 3-pointer to create a fast break. He finishes the fast break with a layup for an easy basket.
During the first step dribbling phase, players dribble the ball in a manner that promotes maximum efficiency and protects themselves. This is often accomplished by dribbling with the outside hand. Other times, players will dribble with the inside hand, or cross the ball while dribbling with one hand to bring the ball over the defender and then pass it with the other hand. The goal is to keep the momentum going while dribbling with the hand that isn’t dribbling.
