The Ahmedabad Ratha Yatra festival is based around the worship of Lord Jagannath, a reincarnation of lords Vishnu and Krishna. It commemorates his annual visit to his birthplace, Jagannath Temple, and aunt's home along with his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
