Need to Know News (5 May 2022) with Joe Olson and Carl Herman

The stunning incoherence of the Democrats with "My body, My choice" regarding abortion while not uttering a peep regarding the imposition of face-mask mandates, vaccination requirements and the like discredits the party as unprincipled and opportunistic. While I personally believe a decision to reverse Roe and Casey is a calamity for the women of our nation--where choice is fundamental here by allowing every woman the right to act as she believes to be appropriate, where no one is forced to abort or forced to carry to term--this decision (on the assumption that is how it is rendered) will galvanize the women of America and give the Democrats their only viable issue heading to the Midterms in November. There may be riots and looting and arson as we experienced in the summer of 2020, but I believe most are worn out and will not be receptive to those kinds of protests. If the midterms are allowed to go forward--where on one ground or another they might be cancelled, if the Democrats can figure out how to do it--I now cut in half my projection of the GOP picking up 100 seats in the House and 3-4 in the Senate. This is a bad outcome all around.
