The war in Ukraine continues, where Elon Musk has placed himself in the crosshairs. Panels of Democrats fear for the midterms. CNN does its best to excuse Biden for his incompetence. A philosophy professor prevails in a dispute over pronouns. We review the history of atomic bombs. The NIH COVID-19 Guidelines Panel is called out for the death of close to 1m Americans. Mike Adams explains that world-wide food shortages are all but inevitable. Toyota expresses reservations about going all-in with electric vehicles. I end with Robert Frost's poem, "Fire and Ice": We have come to the point where we are confronted with the threat of mass starvation, on the one hand, and global thermonuclear war, on the other. If only a knight in shining armour would arrive to save us! Prepare for what is to come. As far as I can see, the world's food supply has already been sufficiently damaged that mass starvation is all but inevitable. Don't let that include you and your loved ones. Plan for the worst. Hope for the best. If some of us are able to make our way into the future, then may humanity find a way to live in peace with one another and with our environment. In the meanwhile, spend as much time as you can with friends and loved ones. We literally do not know how much time we have left. Good luck!
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice
- Robert Frost
