With Stephen Breyer stepping down from the Supreme Court, Biden has the opportunity to nominate a new justice to the court. His decision appears to have been motivated by the expectation that the GOP will regain control of the Senate at the Mid-term elections, which could mean it would not approve a Biden nominee thereafter. So time is of the essence. He declared he would nominate a black woman, which may be illegal under past court rulings, but is unlikely to become a matter of controversy. Meanwhile, the media are twisting and turning to find ways to explain away Biden's obvious cognitive incompetence as though it were a "conspiracy theory" promoted by Fox News! While a judge has struck down the mask mandate of the new Governor of New York, she appears to be on her way to rival Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan for Wicked Witch of the East. Our own Carl Herman has been placed on (paid) administrative leave because the administration cannot answer the questions he has raised about their COVID policies, which has made them uncomfortable enough to want him out of the room.
