MONDIAL RO71 .177 pistol

This a Mondial Gun Toys brand RO71 .177 cal pistol from Italy. I also have the Mondial Oklahoma so I had to have this. I'd never seen or heard of this model before. There is a similar gun called the Panther with a full plastic stock. If these guns are rare today, it's probably because they're made from diecast potmetal and brittle plastic and haven't survived. The barrel * rifled *, mainspring, and a couple screws are about the only steel used in the gun, every thing else is zinc or aluminum. The gun was in pretty rough shape. but a complete teardown and restoring fixed that. These are a very simple gun to work on and are self explanatory once opened. A fun little gun from Airgun history.
