The true story of Topgun is the story of a handful of determined men who decided to fight the establishment and dedicated their efforts and careers to improve the US military Airmen / Fighting Jet Pilots. They fought Kafka-esque bureaucracy, thick-headedness and the usual "corporate BS" and established a top-notch academy that saved dozens of lives and re-established the US warfighter's esteem.
