Most of us, those experiencing gender incongruence included, don't understand the invasive nature of "gender affirming" interventions.The interventions take functioning body parts and alter them so they no longer function properly.

What is the long term effect of such treatments? The truth is that we don't know. These patients are experiencing intense mental anxiety and distress and to have the medical professionals tell them that they are physically flawed and the only way to fix the problem is with physical interventions. The fact that they are proscribed as "safe, effective, and helpful" suggests that the medical professionals are placing ideology and profits ahead of the well-being of the patients.
