Local Church Mentioned In The Doomsday Book Roman Monument?

Howdy,
has anyone come across one of these before, apparently this object is older than the modern church building around it.

Also around the corner is a load of random sandstone blocks in a park, donated by the Seel, family to the local council.
Seel Road runs along side Victoria Road, running both sides of an old church not far from the park.
