How to Hear God's Voice

A surprisingly simple approach to hear God's voice speaking to us. He's often speaking and definitely desires for us to know His voice; sometimes we just need to know how to tune in to Him. We can ask the Lord questions and often get instant answers. We can test the source, as well, according to Scripture. All based on the Word of God, the Bible, and being lead by God's Spirit. I pray this blesses all who hear and receive it.

General prayer to repent:
Father God, I repent of all sin both of commission and omission. I repent from judging anyone, including myself. I'll let you be the Judge, Jesus. I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me, offended me or upset me. I also forgive myself. Thank you, for your forgiveness. Holy Spirit, fill me up.

If you are still trying to hear from the Lord and struggling, ask Holy Spirit out loud what is blocking you from hearing from Him. Listen/sense/feel the first thing that comes to mind. Explore that. You may need to repent from something that happened there with a thought/attitude/belief/sin. Once you repent, you are honoring Holy Spirit's lead and should hear more clearly from Him now.
