And the release of Bill Cosby reflects that, even though it was morally repugnant for him to be free after serving only 2 of a 3-10 year sentence, the violation of his legal rights was clear and unequivocal, which meant that, in this case, the outcome dictated by the law stood in contrast to the alternative outcome that would have been morally appropriate.
