SV Ramble On | Making the Windlass Bracket & Riser Plate
3 years ago
1
Got the bracket back from the welder and started working on the fiberglass G10 riser plate. The riser plate is to insulate the aluminum windlass from the stainless steel bracket and to create a wire chase from the bottom of the windlass to the side of our bowsprit. This way we can avoid drilling a giant hole in the middle of the bowsprit.
