Our Colonist Forefathers Did NOT Steal America, After All
American Anti-Patriot Goon Platoon Emerges to Battle 4th of July History
As July 4th celebrations explode across USA, sad reports emerge claiming patriotism is on the wane down to 38%. But of course it is. Because mindless sheep toiling in the dark recesses of mommy's basement, all the way to brightly lit liberal studios across our spacious skies attack every element of America's past, present and future, without regard for truth.
While it may seem a grassroots response to America's dark history, yet it's a fake story. A phantasm of the vast monster with the thousand heads – Marxism, exerting its deathless power. From below are released toxic and poisonous fumes of the devil's hot breath, billowing as he smiles broadly. Things haven't looked this good to Lucifer since before the Reformation.
So let's deal with the cornerstone of the socialist's mythic accusations against America. The First Nation claim is that our democratic republic started by theft and degenerated from there. This is actually historically false and must be strenuously resisted to restore our sense of worth as a nation. And you'll never find a better time to start pushing back against these lies.
Jeff Fynn-Paul writes in the Spectator, “The myth of the ‘stolen country’ – What should the Europeans have done with the New World?” He sums up the lies daily aiding anti-Americans:
”We all know the cliché: The US was founded by a monumental act of genocide, accompanied by larceny on grandest scale. Animated by racism and a sense of civilization superiority, Columbus sailed to the New World. They exterminated whomever they could, enslaved the rest, and intentionally spread smallpox in hopes of solving the ‘native question’. Soon afterwards, imported slave labor from Africa. They then built the world’s richest country out of a combination of stolen land, wanton environmental destruction and African slave labor. To crown it all, they have the audacity to call themselves a great country and pretend to moral superiority.”
Fynn-Paul then states that he used to be a booster of such specious malarkey, but that as a professional historian he eventually acquainted himself with the truth: “As a professional historian, I am keenly aware of the need to challenge smug, feelgood interpretations of history.” And that, although it will come at great cost from his liberal critics, those claims are false and the truth is much more interesting.
First, the introduction of Europeans to the American continent would have resulted in a massive wave of deaths because of disease. Viruses would wipe out most of an unexposed population, regardless of intent, with Fynn-Paul stating:
”First, no matter who ‘discovered’ the New World, it is inevitable that a large proportion of New World inhabitants would have died within the first few decades after first contact. This is universally acknowledged by specialists in the field.”
Second, the American Natives were just as warlike as any people on the earth. They were primitive farmers who used land till it was used up soil, then moved on, seeking better land and game. So they continuously warred with other tribes for the best land, as Fry-Paul writes:
“This meant that tribes were in constant conflict with other tribes, and chiefs continually vying for power, creating confederations under themselves. So the question of who owned the land was in a more or less constant state of flux. In most of North America, the idea any one piece of land belonged to any one tribe, for more than 50 or 100 years, is therefore highly questionable. The idea Europeans stole some land which had belonged in perpetuity to any one tribe is therefore ludicrous.”
Third, that Europeans did buy land from Natives, just as they had purchased property in the old country. The fact some deals were frauds hardly differentiates them from any other group of humans in history. But as Europeans established farms and built up stockades of weapons for self-defense, the Natives naturally moved farther away.
Then, Professor Fry-Paul asks a fascinating question: “What precisely would our pious anthropology professors have had Europeans do with the New World once they found it?” Of course, the answer is not so easy. In fact, European governments did not support genocide, as a general rule in America, or anywhere else. Writes Fynn-Paul:
“No one claims Europeans committed genocide in India, Asia or even Africa, although their technological advantages gave them every opportunity. European records shows them to be shockingly un-genocidal, given clear technological advantages over the rest of the world for centuries. Few other civilizations would have behaved in a less reprehensible manner. Yet, Europeans are regularly painted as the very worst society on Earth, when in fact they had the power to do far, far more evil than they actually did. Let us at least acknowledge this fact.”
In closing, Europeans took over lands that were mostly empty as hunter gatherers have difficulty reporudcing at a fast rate and as disease decimated a huge percentage of Natives. Further, when accused of destroying Native culture, the fact is that humans often want to adapt when facing a more sophisticated people.
And even Christopher Columbus comes off as not a bad guy, writes Fynn-Paul:
”What about Columbus himself? Try as they might (and they have tried mightily), historians have been unable to find any evidence that Columbus was genocidal, or had any particular ill-will towards the Native Americans that he encountered. Let’s remember that Columbus was first and foremost a merchant. His main purpose was to open a trade route to China. From the get-go, Queen Isabella of Spain expressly forbade the enslavement of her New World subjects. Instead, she showed a genuine desire to bring them into what for her constituted the folds of civilization, as Christian equals. So historians must grudgingly concede that the Spanish Crown, for its part, was likewise not nearly as bloodthirsty, genocidal or racist as they clearly hope to find.”
Friends, as we gather to celebrate the founding of the USA, the unlikeliest miracle in history since the birth of Christ – let's remember liberals must lie to make their arguments. Always fact-check to verify bad news about America. Meanwhile, let's thank our current Conservative leaders who strive mightily to take back House & Senate so we might repair the ravages of Marxist depredations. And here is wishing the USA another incredible 300 years! Thanks be to God for our amazing country.
