The future of these abortion bans targets pregnant people who can become pregnant. And how likely it is that there's going to be a federal ban in place. I still see some credulousness that you know. Or maybe that's not the right word. I feel that democrats or media members writ large or the population are not taking seriously enough the prospect of a federal abortion ban targeting people that can become pregnant people are pregnant people. And Mike Pence has said as much. This is a part of the Republican agenda. and if the Democrats do not end the filibuster or amend the filibuster to enshrine law into law by god Republicans are going to do it if they get power. If they get to know the presidency. And they maintain power because they're likely going to win at least one chamber in the fall come 2024. Right. And you know I can imagine a lot of you know centrist democrats being like well that would be hypocrisy. About states. it's like okay oh you're gonna play the hypocrite's argument. Like hypocrisy is not the problem. Fascism is the problem here. And of course, that is the fascist agenda that they're making very clear. You know I'm not I wouldn't they are clear that that's their agenda. I'm not one to kind of be like well certainly that that will work and that's going to happen. I think we have even more immediate and pressing concerns about the enforcement of the bans that are now already in place. And you know as I've mentioned a coup in some of my writing recently. There's been some really interesting thinking and terrifying thinking from the right about you know the coming legal battles. When you know with this growth and criminalization of abortion seekers abortion providers between states.
