Trump, where the defense eviscerated the prosecution on the 4th day and left nothing but a mopping-up operation for the final vote, where seven Republicans violated the Constitution and joined the Democrats. A special case was Mitch McConnell, who voted against the trial on the ground that it was un-Constitutional but then blamed Trump (in no uncertain terms) for having incited the crowd, as though he had paid no attention at all to the defense. The Party has abandoned Trump and I will not be surprised to see a new "Patriot" party emerge, with nearly 100,000,000 instant members.
