We found a monarch caterpillar egg this afternoon on a milkweed plant in our garden. I could tell it was about to hatch because you could see the dark colour of the caterpillar's head inside the egg. We were super lucky to catch it hatching and I recorded it with our digital microscope! The whole process took 20 minutes, but we sped it up to save you all time. Enjoy!
