Bette Midler Midnight in Memphis The Rose - Enhanced Video & Hi Fi Stereo Soundtrack

This video is a combination of the original movie’s performance and the separately released movie soundtrack on LP.

I believe this is one of Bette Midler’s greatest performances.
Unfortunately, the soundtrack on the original movie lacked the HI-Fi Stereo quality found only on the remastered release on LP.

Combining the two was no easy feat.
The movie soundtrack that was released on LP was a different take of the performance than that which was used in the movie.
Not only did her singing in the release on LP not quite match what was on film, but the tempo was slightly different as well.
I had to split the video portion eleven times and re-sync them individually to the HI-Fi stereo soundtrack.
There remains a few unavoidable parts in the video that are slightly out sync. After all, these are two entirely different takes of the same performance.
The video definitely needed some cleanup and an HD conversion.
I wanted this video to have everything going for it that was possible because there is so much energy in this performance and the soundtrack needed to match that level of energy which Bette brought to us on the silver screen, The Rose.
Enjoy
