ADDING TUMS TO THE GARDEN FOR BLOSSOM END ROT. THE SCIENCE OF TUMS & TOMATOES | Gardening in Canada

This sounds like a crazy garden hack but adding tums to the garden for more calcium or as a cure to blossom end rot may actually work. In this gardening in Canada video we go over exactly what the science is behind using Tums in the garden as a calcium substitute. The most popular way of using this garden hack is for blossom end rot which is famously known to be due to lack of calcium.

Does it works well it certainly doesn’t hurt the plant. But I do think it would take a lot of tums to make this happen. The whole time I filmed this video I wanted to sing the commercial line tums tums tums tums! Enjoy!

Thank you SO MUCH for watching gardening in Canada! Canadian gardener or simply a gardeners wanting to learn more about the science of gardening this is the place for you!
