Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics (Switch) - Game #45: Team Tanks

Game #45 on our list of 51 Worldwide Classics is the other of two games inspired by a minigame from Wii Play, Team Tanks! In this game, instead of trying to blow each other up, two players cooperate to destroy an AI-controlled enemy army. There are only three stages to beat in this game as opposed to 100 in the Wii Play Tanks game, but the boss tank in stage 3 can still be a little tricky to figure out at first.

There are no difficulty settings for the CPU army, so all you have to do is complete all three stages to master the game. Also, each time you play it, you can unlock a piece of trivia about the game. There are three pieces of trivia about Team Tanks:

1. The type of tread attached to the bottoms of tanks or excavators is known as continuous track.
2. Real tanks can travel over uneven ground and over steps!
3. There's a type of algae that has something like a naturally occurring continuous track. Fortunately, it has not yet evolved a naturally occurring cannon.

Personal story: I remember playing with RC cars as a kid but never an RC tank. I was also a big fan of Battlebots, where remote-controlled robots destroy each other.
