in this two part video we're rebuilding a dust collector from the ground up. the bearings were pretty well worn out all the way around and so not only did the impeller and shaft receive an overhaul, but the motor as well.
during the disassembly of the machine several large holes were seen in the volute. the thing had been patched on 4 different occasions but never really done right. so the old thing gets a new volute out of 4mm thick hot rolled steel.
