Vuni camouflage: The Effectiveness of "Negative Space"
In the last 30 years I've tried numerous camouflage patterns and in my humble opinion most camouflage is meant to fool hunters, not game.
If you notice most companies try too hard to make their patterns extremely detailed. That's nice but at a distance all patterns form a blob. If a pattern is too dark, meaning it contains mostly solid colors, whether they're detailed or not, they form a solid outline and therefore give away your silhouette.
With Vuni camouflage the light background with lots of open or "negative space" is exactly what I've been waiting for. It even works extremely well during the spring turkey season, when the woods is covered up in green.
In this video I share a few clips from my past turkey season to illustrate just how effective the pattern is.
I hope you enjoy!
