In today's video, I take a look and provide legal analysis for a police interaction that occurred in April 2019 in Virginia (I think). There is a lot of debate online about this video because the victim, Mr. Derrick Thompson, refused to get out of the car. However, I believe this is absolutely a case of police misconduct and it does not take a rocket scientist to see why Mr. Thompson did not feel safe enough to exit his vehicle.
