Bible Verses About Salvation – Scriptures on Eternal Life

Salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ is the main topic in the New Testament of the Bible. The gospel is the good news of our reconciliation from the death of sin to eternal life in Christ.

What is the Definition of Faith?

Hebrews 11:1
New King James Version
By Faith We Understand
11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heaven is run as a Court System, we have an Advocate- Holy Spirit- Jesus (Defined- One who pleads another’s cause, who helps another by defending or comforting him. It is a name given by Christ three times to the Holy Ghost (John 14:16; 15:26; 16:7, where the Greek word is rendered “Comforter, ” q.v.) who will act as a Witness and Lawyer for us to the Father.

Matthew 10:33
New King James Version
33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Why do we need Salvation?

From the beginning with Adam and Eve, Sin entered into the human bloodline, which has led us to need to account for the disobedience that now is contained in this flesh.

This now born in disobedience in the flesh from the Bloodline of Adam that is in every human being must be dealt with and will be Judged.

2 Corinthians 5:10
New King James Version
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

In the old Testament, God gave a way for mankind to pay for their sins, similar to what courts do now with restitution and jail time.

This was the sacrifice of innocent blood via a priest to cleanse the sins of the people.

God used Israel as a reflection and guide for the rest of humanity to receive understanding and a means to keep His Commandments, as a Mother to humanity to lead us to Jehovah God our Father (The Beginning of our Creation in His Image).

This is what took place before Jesus.

God sits outside of time and knew from the Creation of mankind that sin would lead us to death.

God is Holy and can’t have Sin in His Presence, the penalty for sin is death.

Therefore if Sin isn’t paid for, then death comes upon the one who has Sin upon them.

Romans 6:23
King James Version
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Original Plan

God had a different plan for Man; Mankind was made in the Image of God (Yahweh in DNA) and had Authority that was stripped by satan in the Earth. Jehovah Elohim had a plan to give mankind the authority back and He declared this promise to the Serpent and accomplished the Finished Work in Jesus’ Death on the Cross.

Genesis 3:15
New King James Version
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

The Authority taken back – The Divine Plan

Adam Received Authority From God – Genesis 1:28-31
God creates with words. He created Adam in His own image with words of dominion (Genesis 1:26). In Adam, He reproduced Himself. God gave Adam His own authority over everything on this planet and crowned him with His glory (Psalm 8:4-5). He did not create Adam and then appoint him as His manager. He created Adam too rule–a living, speaking spirit, like his Creator. It is man’s nature to rule just as it is God’s nature to rule. God’s delegated authority was conferred on man as God’s under-ruler.

The Divine Plan was to give a Final Sacrifice – a means for man to get rid of Sin once and for all within the Bloodline of Adam and connect mankind to a new Bloodline – Jesus Christ (The Second Adam).

This was done through the Birth of a Second Adam, to become a living sacrifice to pay for the Sins for all who reside in the New Bloodline (Covenant).

This is the rebirth of the spirit in Christ as the New Body for Salvation; completed through Baptism in Jesus Christ, repentance of Sins, and the acceptance on what Jesus did for you on the Cross.

It remains constant through daily repentance and folkowing the Walk of Christ by carrying your own cross as Jesus did daily, obeying every Word of the Father through the Holy Spirit.

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

What does a Faith Walk look like?

Ephesians 1:3-14 NKJV

Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

1 Thessalonians 5:22
New King James Version
22 Abstain from every form of evil.

Revelation 21:8
New King James Version
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

We are made in the Image of God for Good Works and with the Holy Spirit within us we can achieve the Goal, the Race of Faith set before us.

Ephesians 2:10
New King James Version
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Revelation 20:12
New King James Version
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

James 2:20
New King James Version
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Now why is faith without works dead? Go back to the definition and you will understand.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

In our Faith Walk we demonstrate WHOSE we are by the evidence we portray in our lives, which will stand by us as a Witness (The Holy Spirit) in front of the Judge (Jehovah) at the end of our life. Either you have the Witness to justify your sins are covered or a Witness that you have rejected Him.

Let’s go over our Redemption in Christ spoken of in Ephesians, as a conclusion to this Gospel of Truth and Hope for our Salvation and Eternity in Heaven with Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:3-14

Redemption in Christ
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him. 11 In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, 12 that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.

13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ- Get Baptized, Repent for your Sins, become obedient to the Holy Spirit, that He may lead you into Himself, to do the Good Works He set for you long ago, that you may have life and life more abundantly on Earth and in Heaven.

Jeremiah 29:11
New International Version
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
