Anti-government protesters descend on Ottawa for Canada Day

As thousands celebrated the nation's birthday, Police in Ottawa say they were also ready for the anti-government demonstrators expected to make their voices heard on Canada Day.

Several hundred protesters did march through the streets south of Parliament Hill on Friday afternoon, with a heavy police presence along the route as they walked and chanted "freedom."
