In this video we will show you how to look up the names of board members as well as the managing agent for a condo or co-op building here in NYC.

I’m Nick at Hauseit. Visit our website https://www.hauseit.com to learn about ways to save
Money when buying or selling real estate here in NYC. So let’s get started!

The first way to look up this information is to use what's called the HPD Building Info Website. Now the way I typically navigate to it is by googling nyc hpd building lookup and the third result is the one we're looking for. On the next page it will provide you with a search interface through which you can provide the details of the building you're looking up.

So in this case as a hypothetical example let's do 321 West 13th Street here in Manhattan. So go ahead and click search. It's not the fastest website but what will happen is that we'll see a result here with some tabs on the left you'll want to go ahead and click on property owner registration information. Now on the next page it will show you the name of the head officer,
the name of an officer, the name of the corporation itself which is the condo as well as the name of the managing agent. It also has contact information for these various people. So this is generally the best way to find this information.

The buildings are required to update this information on an annual basis. Now the other way you can find out information like this and perhaps get even more insight is to use the department of buildings website which is the BIS Building Information Search.

The way I find this is by typing in nyc dob search in the bar above, and if we click on this result here and we look up that same building we might be able to find some additional information. So let's go ahead and type that in and hit go. Now what we want to do is we want to
go ahead and click on jobs and filings and the reason is because sometimes these various jobs will have information below regarding the contact of managing agents or the various people associated with the building.

So for example in this case we see managing agent john wish who is the contact. It doesn't
provide us with his email or phone but using this department of buildings application website we can find out his contact information his phone number and his email, so if you just go through these department of building filings and scroll down you should be able to find some more information. Now it appears to be that the amendments don't have information but if you click on the actual original jobs it should provide you with some more information.

In this case as well here you actually have the contact information of an owner so it's another good way to find ways to contact people in general.
