Happy 4th everyone! In today's show, a new poll indicates that Americans are no longer so proud of their country. It's a sad thing -- and yet, given all our recent challenges, increasingly understandable.

But, as patriotism weakens, on July 4th it's worth remembering all that this nation has been and can be. In the spirit of that, I'm sharing with you (actually - singing for you) my own rendition of 'America the Beautiful.'

It's a gorgeous song and today, you'll hear the second verse that not many may not be as familiar with. The melody and the poetry of the piece is a great tribute to all our country has been and can be. I hope you're inspired. It begins at 5:51 into the podcast.
