The Ruin Of Restlessness

Colossians 3:12-13 "Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do."

Read the Old Testament and you read where God's people were enslaved, sometimes for generations. The people of God also endured famines and wars. Sometimes lasting for many years. Disciples and apostles enduring imprisonment, often for years.

We're now completing month 5 (five) of a global pandemic. Five months. FIVE MONTHS.

Nobody I know (or know of) wrestled with whether or not to obey God. Nobody I know (or know of) behaved out of rebellion against God or His Word. Nobody I know (or know of) leveraged the pandemic as an opportunity to push forward false doctrine.

It seems we lost our collective ability to exhale.

And inhale.

Not because we'd come down with COVID 19, but because we'd been smitten with chronic RESTLESSNESS.
