In addition to ordinary, daily borscht, festive borschts were common in the Ukrainian food culture. Among them is Trinity green, cooked in chicken broth, with the addition of a large amount of different greens (without cabbage), which at this time is abundant – dill, parsley, sorrel, nettle, young beet tops. The peculiarity of this borscht is that at the end of its preparation, boiled crushed eggs are added and seasoned with raw eggs beaten with sour cream.
