The Lord Jesus Christ in the Gospel of Matthew Chapter 4 sets an example for us who abide in Him, and in whom He abides, of how to battle the onslaughts of the devil with the all powerful word of God. All the enticements the devil places before us to cause us to err, to fall, to sin are overcome and disappear when the word of God (“It is written...”) is spoken against them. Those who prepare, and study well their King James Bible are well-armed by the grace of God to do battle as good soldiers of Christ.
