• Matt 8:30-31 A few things to note here about spirits operation - 1) There is no distance in the spirit realm. The herds of swine was far away, yet with the word of Jesus, they took off and entered the swine. 2) Spirits need a body to dwell in, whether human or animal. Do not give the permission to an evil spirit to enter you through dirty works. 3) Spirits can see when a body is empty. The bodies of the swine flock were empty and they made it their habitation. So, guard your spirit.

• Matt. 8:32 Matt. 8:32 When the demons entered the pigs, they drove the animals into the sea. The demons’ action proves their destructive intent, if they could not destroy the men, they would destroy the pigs. Jesus’ action, by contrast, shows the value he places on each human life.

• Matt. 8:33-34 Why did the people ask Jesus to leave? Unlike their own pagan gods, Jesus could not be contained, controlled, or appeased. They feared Jesus’ supernatural power, a power that they had never before witnessed. And they were upset about losing a herd of pigs more than they were glad about the deliverance of the demon-possessed men. Are you more concerned about property and programs than people? Human beings are created in God’s image and have eternal value. How foolish and yet how easy it is to value possessions, investments and even animals above human life. Would you rather have Jesus leave you than finish his work in you?

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive the grace to place my priority on kingdom matters of peace, love, joy, justice above everything else.

I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me.

With long life will God satisfy me, and shew me His salvation.
So shall it be for me and my household today and forever, Amen and Amen!
