"Be grateful": Canadian talks fighting in Ukraine as those at home celebrate Canada Day

As Canadians celebrate Canada Day, there are some who have gone abroad to serve on the front lines of Ukraine. One Calgary man who previously served with the Canadian military is among them.

"I felt that I needed to do whatever I could do to help with the fight," Matthew McGill said.

As Sean O'Shea reports, he is sharing a message to Canadians to be grateful on Canada Day as he continues to fight in Ukraine.
