While defending Biden, Geraldo Rivera claims the economy is "not that bad."

During an interview with Geraldo Rivera, Biden defended his economic record as vice president. He claimed that "if you look at the data, the last four years we've created almost 10 million jobs and unemployment is down to 5.9 percent." It's true his job-creation numbers are on par with those of Republican President Donald Trump, who was similarly skeptical of President Obama's claim that full employment was within reach. But in one easy to ignore way, Biden is off by more than half a point: From January 2009 through January 2011, the economy added 8.9 million jobs while unemployment was below eight percentage points
