Sunday Longplay - Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 - Final Episode: Cleave the Moon (Normal Ending)

This week on Sunday Longplay, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 concludes with the Final Episode! After saving Dominique from Mephisto's clutches, she fills the rest of the group in about a demonic invasion from their home base on the moon. So in the time between then and the beginning of the final episode, Dominique, Alfred, and Gebel worked together to build a spaceship to blast off to the moon. However, there are still some parts missing, so the group splits up to cover more ground in less time finding the parts to the ship, with one ally in each stage (except one). Your job is to collect the parts from the bosses of the first 7 stages, rejoin your allies along the way, and collect any optional powerups until you're ready to head to the moon and the true final stage of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2!

The final episode introduces some new gameplay mechanics. The way you can play the first 7 levels in any order building your team and collecting hidden power-ups (most of which require a specific character's ability so you'll want Gebel and Hachi ASAP) makes it feel kind of like Mega Man, and the first part of the endgame throws in an unexpected gameplay change that pays homage to another long-forgotten Konami franchise. I love it!

This episode has two endings, like Episode 2 before it. This video covers the normal ending, but I already did a video covering the secret ending. You don't need everyone and everything to go to the moon, and there will be one ally in each stage except one which is empty. To get the secret ending, find the empty stage and beat it with only Zangetsu. Then immediately talk to Alfred to blast off to the moon alone.
