Qatar has donated $60 million to Lebanon's army amid a severe economic crisis in the country. Since the crisis erupted in 2019, the Lebanese pound has lost over 90% of its value and tens of thousands have become jobless. Last year, Qatar had announced that it would support the army with 70 tons of food every month for a year.
