In these days of covid, the fragility of life has become painfully apparent to all of us. This week the Yass Celtic and Irish Music festival community lost Annie Waterhouse, a key member of the festival committee, but also beautiful soul well known in Yass.
My sincere condolences to Annie's family and wide circle of friends.
Shona Williams ( @theples5722) suggested recording a song for Annie, so I have taken some liberties with the poem written by Canadian George Washington Johnson in 1864, and the tune by James Austin Butterfield in 1866:
