Ethiopia Celebrates the Filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam

This video is a combination of dash cam footage of Ethiopians celebrating the filling of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. It also includes Haile Selassie's famous address to the United Nations, 1963, a song that served as the inspiration and lyrics for Bob Marley's song "War."

Felt juxtaposing the recent events of power and justice for the Ethiopian people with one of the historical stalwarts of Ethiopian grace and power was appropriate. The great Nagusa Nagast at his finest.

I am not making a political statement with this video. I understand the controversy (insomuch as it has been conveyed to me and thereafter interpreted by me) and the concerns for other nations. I am only, simply, observing a celebration of a people and appreciating their joy.
