Urea is a fertilizer: a nitrogenous compound found in the urine of mammals, produced through protein decomposition. It is also produced synthetically. Use: fertilizers, feeds, manufacture of resins. Formula: CO(NH2)2

Natural Gas and Production of Urea go hand in hand in the production of vital fertilizer utilized in the production of the food supply.

DEF Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a solution of urea and water that's injected into the exhaust stream of diesel vehicles to turn NOx gases into nitrogen and water. This system is called a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) implemented by vehicle manufacturers to meet EPA emissions standards in 2010.

Like any other engine fluid, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is essential to keeping your vehicle up and running. All diesel-powered passenger cars and trucks built since 2010 are equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and require Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF).
