BRASSAVOLA FLAGERALLIS | Inorganic Mount | From MOSS to EXTRACTOR FAN FILTER 🤣🤞🏼

Best practice when transitioning orchids from one medium to another, is to wait for new roots to grow, old ones to branch, and extend with new root tips, the same applies to when it comes to mounts. While roots are growing it is also possible to change the medium, taking advantage of new root tips, which can adjust immediately to a new medium. The question in this scenario is, I have never used extractor fan filter as a mounting medium as an alternative to sphagnum moss. I am on a journey of discovery as to how different spongy inorganic material can serve a purpose, similar to sphagnum moss. In the past I have been changing the sphagnum moss on my mounts, 2x / year. But why disturb the roots that often? So... all this is prototype, the beginning of discovery and hopefully produce the results I am looking for.
